John B. Williams

John has been with the firm since his graduation from law school and is currently a partner at Prowse Chowne LLP. John’s client base is primarily comprised of small to medium sized owner-operated businesses, financial institutions, self-employed individuals and professionals. Many of the businesses John assisted to create are now in their second and third generation as clients of the firm.
As a result of these long term relationships, John has also developed a successful wills and estates planning practice assisting clients and their families in all aspects of their estate planning and when necessary, the administration of their estates.
John is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and served as the north Alberta section co-ordinator for a number of years. John has also served in all positions on the executive of the Wills & Estates Section North and on the executive of the Business Law Section North. John is also a regular presenter for Wills Awareness Week, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
In addition, John has held various positions, including acting as director in a number of organizations including, the Rotary Club of Edmonton, the Kristie Charitable Foundation, the Pastoral Institute of Edmonton/Edmonton Counselling Centre, the County Clothes-Line Foundation and the Lucy Baker School Society.
