Gary is a skilled negotiator with a passion for business law. He is known as a creative planner and practiced strategist for complex business situations. One of Gary’s strengths is his ability to engage and lead business experts to provide his clients with comprehensive business solutions for today’s complex corporate problems.
Gary’s involvement in the community is extensive. He is a member of Edmonton Northlands and the Edmonton Police Commission, where he serves as chairman of the Internal Affairs Committee, member of the Finance Committee and a past member of the Governance, Chief Selection and Chief's Review committees. He has also been an instructor and has held numerous senior board and committee memberships with the Health Disciplines Board, Alberta College, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Capital Health Authority, Health Industry Research Task Force formed by the Alberta Science and Research Authority, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Grant MacEwan College, Education Services Advisory Committee of the Alberta Health Care Association, City of Edmonton Planning Process Round Table and Advisory and Integrating Committee, Mortgage and Loans Association of Alberta, Edmonton Home Builders’ Association, Alberta Consumers’ Association and the National Housing Committee of the Canadian Consumers’ Association. Gary has also provided community service as pro-bono counsel to various non-profit groups.
In addition, Gary has an extensive history of political involvement including senior advisory and leadership positions at both civic and provincial levels and has also participated in several government round table discussions.
